CPOL18-P105gm105 Gram (3.37 Ounce) Rough Coober Pedy Opal Parcel-Rough Australian Opal-Olympic Opalfield
The book "Opal-South Australia's Gemstone" has this to say about Olympic Opalfield:
"One of the largest and most productive fields, with a reputation for good quality opal. Mostly underground workings with some bulldozer cuts in older north central area. Consistently active field. In 1982-83 the field was extended westward with the discovery of Southern Cross Opalfield".
This parcel is mostly semi-crystal opal with nice multi-color play-of-color...bright reds, blues and greens in a mix of sizes from the 2nds grade of an Olympic parcel I picked up in Coober Pedy in 2018.
3.37 ounces or 105.0 grams.
I'm sorry I forgot my scale in the photos, but the lower left large triangular stone is 36mm x 35mm x 8.6mm thick.
