BRIGHT, smaller sized rough opal from 11 Mile Opalfield, about 11 Miles north of Coober Pedy...also known as Greek Gully Opalfield. 11 Mile Opalfield, discovered in 1963, is a large opalfield, on both sides of the Stuart Highway, and is a reliable producer of smaller pockets of bright stable opal...known as a "tucker" (Aussie slang for food) field.
Smaller sized stones with mostly blue/green color flashes...some with orange in the mix. Please view the photos for more details.
