HALF PRICE SALE!! In the late 1990s the Australian Government moved the airport at Mintabie Opalfield to a new location north of the workings, as opal was located under the runway. So the government split up the old airport runway into 100 opal claims and by a lottery, distributed them to 100 miners. This stone came from that claim (and was cut by myself).
Explosive multi-color splashes of orange, green and gold in a winsome curved triangular shape.
Weight: 7.9 carats.
